Adult Ballet Classes
Ballet begins at any age
Ballet is often seen as something that you have to start early or not at all. Fortunately, this isn’t the case, and our adult ballet classes in Carlisle are made to suit all abilities, ages and experience. Whether you’re an absolute beginner who has always wanted to give ballet a go, or someone more experienced who’s returning to dance classes after a break, we have something for you.
At Cumbria Ballet School, we firmly believe that neither age, size nor ability should stop you from enjoying a ballet class. It doesn’t matter if you can’t touch your toes or execute a pirouette, our friendly adult classes are relaxed and welcoming to everyone and anyone who has an interest in ballet. It’s never too late to fall in love with dance!
If you’re looking for a fun dancing class for adults, we’ll be delighted to welcome you to our studio in Carlisle.
Our Ballet Classes for Adults
We run a selection of popular ballet dancing classes for adults from our studio in Carlisle. Though you can join at any point during the year (between September and July), we don’t run ‘drop-in’ classes. Instead, we focus on building on your work from the previous week so that you can always see your progress. We think this way is much more enjoyable and rewarding!
Class sizes are relatively small, with a maximum of 12-16 people per lesson. This allows teachers to give attention to every individual, as well as the group as a whole.

Once you’ve signed up, payment is due on the 1st of each month. You can manually pay this via bank transfer, or set up a standing order so you never miss a payment.A one-hour class is £8.80 per person. Read more about our fees.
